Modesty

So, I was doing a little web surfing (procastinating a five page paper for my Music History class) and came across this web site.. thanks to a lady that commented on Seriously So Blessed. I would've posted a picture but they are copyrighted and can not be removed from the site. I suggest checking it out... I never knew they made stuff like that. It's pretty interesting. :) Let me know how you feel about it!

Oh the Drama....

First off, Cody is doing awesome in school right now! He's always prepared for his classes ( which is more than I can say right now) and always early. (Again.. I'm the late one) So that's going well. I ended up dropping a class so I'm now at 15 credit hours. WHOO HOO!! I feel better all ready.

But the whole purpose of this post is to talk about those that create and crave drama. My favorite kind of people. I'm talking about those that have to tell you how amazing they are and that everyone loves them, just so that they are reassured it's true. MMmm yes. How I love to hear how professors worship the ground you walk on because of the brown color of your nose. I even love to hear you correct the one in charge, because obviously, you know best (but are still told you are wrong by the said person in charge). Or even when you tell me no one is doing it right except for you? Yeah, that makes me feel valuable. How about when you burst into a loud, obnoxious song right in my ear to figuratively say, "Listen to me, aren't I amazing?" It amazes me that you always run in packs. How does that work when you all want to be the center of attention and are obviously better than the others you're with? Are you all friends because you make everyone else feel worthless? I think so.... Do you crave the animosity other people have for you? Is that why you do what you do? Or is it that you don't feel wanted and need to fit in somewhere? All I can say is, it's not working for you. Maybe I'm the only one that it really bugs. I know I just need to let it slide because they have a different personality than I do but it's just so hard sometimes to be friendly and act like they're right and they are amazing. I think that's my challenge right now, learning to accept who they are and not letting it bug me. I just need to move on..

Oh the joys of school, drama queens/kings and big, ugly egos. Why are the majority of these people in the Performing Arts program? I'm not sure I'll ever know. But I only have 4 more semesters (cross your fingers) and I'll be away from most of it.
Okay, I feel a lot better now that's off my chest. Thanks for listening/reading!

Old Ephraim

A couple of weekends ago Cody and I went with his family up to Old Ephraim's grave. It was so fun! We rode a four-wheeler and some bikes up there becuase it was dirt road, up a mountain and nine miles to get there. Mom and Dad drove the truck so they stayed relatively clean. :)Here are the girls before we took off..
Here I am trying to be Old Ephraim. That bear was huge!! While we were there, Dad told us the really cool story of Old Ephraim and how his dad was one who helped dig him up. Cool!
Here is where Old Ephraim was really buried..
Then we decided to ride around some more and we found a spot to shoot some .22's.
We have a billion more pictures but I've got to get back to homework and just wanted to share some highlights! Thanks for taking us Mom and Dad!

Tagged!

So I was tagged by Camille (forever ago.. sorry!) and I'm finally getting to it!
So here are the rules:
Link the Person who Tagged you-Mention rules on your blog-Tell about 6 quirks of yours-Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same-Leave a comment to let them know.
I tag Candice, Tanya, Jen, Carol, Shay and Shannon. Have fun!
1- Okay, quirk number one.. I cannot turn off a movie half way through, even if I've seen the movie before. I have to finish watching it, even if I have homework to get done or it's really late and I should've been in bed an hour ago, and even if I don't like the movie! Ugh, it drives me crazy! :)
2- Two. I have seperation anxiety..bad. (Is that considered a quirk?) Any time I leave my parents house I worry that I said good bye to everyone and worry if I offended or annoyed any one in any way. It's an on going joke with my dad and he never lets me forget it. I'm also that way leaving any one I know. It's so bad I get knots in my stomach I worry so much! Ha! Weird..
3-Tre (that's Italian!)- Sometimes when I'm thinking in my head to myself, I think in a British accent. I don't know why and when it started but I guess I'm really British in my mind!
4- Like Camille, I read a magazine backwards. I have always started at the back and made my way to the front. Why, you ask? I have no idea. I've always been that way.
5- I am overly obsessive about my hair. It has to be perfect and stay perfect through out the day. I even go to the extreme of turning down or even off the AC in my car during the summer so that it doesn't blow on my hair. (Drives Cody nuts!)
6- Last, but definitly not the least, I have a huge purse, shoe and clothing fettish! I guess just like any girl.. but I'm constantly on the look out for new (cheap) purses and shoes (that I already have a million of) and clothes (which are on the verge of no longer fitting in my closet). With shoes, I'm addicted to brown.. so I have a million pairs of brown shoes and a couple black. The funny thing? Most of my clothes look better with black shoes (well my dress up clothes anyway). It's a crisis!

Downer....

Okay, school's been really crazy and such a downer this semester! I'm taking 19 credit hours (the equivalent of 10 classes) which means I'm constantly doing homework, practicing the piano, practicing my singing and attending recitals and concerts. I just can't get over the fact that almost every professor thinks that he/she is your only professor so they feel the need to fill your time to the max and expect you to get everything done. BAH! Two more years of this and I'll be done. (Hopefully) I just don't think I can make it! So, needless to say, I will probably not be posting much the next 3 months.
It also makes me sad because I feel like I no longer have the time or energy to cook anything fresh ( we're all about frozen and boxed foods.. I know gross) So I feel like such a failure! Does anyone have any hints or ideas on how we can still eat healthy, have delicious fresh food thats quick and easy and still have time to do homework and clean the house? I'm drowning here...
